Katy

Katy Littleworth is the Bassist for the Humble Bees. She has been playing the bass guitar for over 12 years. Before joining The Humble Bees she was one quarter of Owen Tromans and the Elders, an indie rock band who toured up and down the UK. She has also recorded with Famous Latvian Star, Meldra at Ealing Studios, London.

Katy started playing live regularly from the age of 12 taking an active part in the Youth rock school in Andover. This gave her the invaluable live experience she needed in order to become a successful performer.

At the age of 20, Katy began attending the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford studying Bass for three years and vocals for the fourth. She graduated in 2009 with Honours.

Katy has a wide range of musical tastes. Although predominantly brought up on 60's music (The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Small Faces) she also loves heavy rock and is Huey Lewis and the News' biggest fan!

When it comes to playing style she is mostly influenced by Donald 'Duck' Dunn (Otis Redding, Stax), James Jamerson (Motown) and Norman Watt - Roy (Ian Dury and the Blockheads). Pure Genius!
